WebWell it’s not as “glorious looking” because the current darker menu theme is not designed for an OLED display. The current dark menu is just a shade of gray. Where an OLED truly shines compared to an LCD is with a true blacks, not grays. Hopefully the next system update adds a true black theme for the OLED systems. WebNov 15, 2024 · An OLED TV, on the other hand, has no backlight. It uses “organic LEDs” that are controlled at the individual pixel level. So instead of lighting up all, or a portion of, the screen, an OLED display will only light up the pixels needed to produce the image, and it won’t light up any pixels at all to produce black pixels.
